Yay, I managed to wake up early for Planetshaker City Church's first ever morning service!! Woke up at 8-ish and took a 9:07am bus to the city. And today we are having our live acoustic recording album service! It was just a bomb, singing all the old school songs in acoustic version. And I really felt God's presence in the place. I guess morning services have a larger tendency to touch people's heart. This is because generally, morning represents the birth of a new day, in some case, a new life.
Had mixed omelette for lunch. Nice. Just before we are about to move, I don't feel well again. Have been coming in and out of sickness for the past 2 weeks. Had body aches, fever, cough, and today, sore throat. Now I am in my room, preparing to rest.
Through You, I can do anything,
I can do all things.
Cause its You who gives me strength,
Nothing is impossible.
Through You, blind eyes are opened,
Strongholds are broken,
I am living by faith,
Nothing is impossible.
I believe, I believe,
I believe, I believe in you.
Will be doing the worship and praise for this coming week's Urban Life. Still seeking God on how to do it. =P

Friday, August 29, 2008
Hmm...
Nothing really happened since the day I am back from my snowboarding trip. Aside that I m officially in my Urban Life core team. Haha. I've always been wanting to serve God more but somehow I don't know where and how to start. And sometimes I am afraid to venture further. Being part of the core team certainly help me to get familiar with these things. Serving God along with friends, venturing into the unknown together, only with His promises, I guess this is what I am looking for all the while.
Aside that, I really enjoy watching the series Dexter. But like what Kuo Hao said, I should not get too "emotional" about that show as it will desensitize what seem to be a "bad" thing. Want to know what is it? Watch it yourself. Haha.
Just realized that I may not have any lectures and tutorials at all on Week 10. This is because during Week 10 of this semester, the Final Year Project students (final sem) are having their project presentation. So the lecturers, ever being so kind, may decide to let the week off for them to prepare for their all important presentation. But I just realized. It may also mean that next semester, OUR presentation semester, we may not have the luxury of a week 10 like our classmates do at the moment. This is because for the next semester, our classmates will be the ones doing the 1st semester of their Final Year Project. Hmm...I guess I will worry about it when it happens. Learned how to do that well this semester, this "worry about it when it happens" thing.
Well, that is what may happen during week 10 for me. 1 week of holiday. But on week 12, I will be also having another week of holiday, my official mid-sem break. Wow, waited for that week long enough. Meaning, I may have 2 weeks of break in a span of 3 weeks. Haha.
Can't wait for my Paladin named "Zhou" to hit level 70. He is currently level 40. By level 70, I am going to Kara to loot whatever I can get my hands on. Feeling excited already. =D
Wow, didn't expect I'd type so much. Well, I guess once a person gathers his/her thoughts together, much can be written.
I guess that is all for the moment. See you guys and gals on my next post.
p/s: Do check out Dexter (poster on the right). It is a very interesting series. Get it from me if you want. Cheers.

Back...
Hey guys, I am back...
Managed to learn the basics of snowboarding. Now I can move in the direction I want and to slow down and brake. I guess those are enough for the time being.
Snowboard in the midst of a slight fever yesterday. Now the whole body is aching. Every moment of the body involves some kind of muscle ache. ><
I shall post some pics soon. Till then...ciaoz
p/s: This is crazy, even when I am typing this post...it caused my hand muscle to ache. ><

Owh crap.
I am sick. Project proposal due tomorrow. Went to meet supervisor yesterday, got bombarded like nobody's business. Well, I kinda agree the work is last minute. Sigh, guess I deserved it. Today, my teammate is going to present to him the revised version. Hope no more major changes please.
And yea, I am sick. Cough, slight sore throat and slight fever. And headache too. This Friday's the Buller Trip. Bad timing in my opinion, I mean the Buller Trip. Sick is already expected to come. It has been a very busy few weeks. Sick gives me a break. Or at least it gives me an excuse for a break.
Last night's raid was terrible. Plain suck. I performed super terribly. And hence, I got replaced. Permanently, by a Ret Pally. Well, I started to get sick of it anyways. Now time for some rest. =)
Good bye all. I guess I shall end here. (erm, I mean my post, not my life -___-;;;)
A rare Good Morning greeting from the cold Melbourne.

Lawl...
Daryl introduced me to this site. It creates a signature right from your WoW armory. So this is my character...
Currently a little messed up, wearing my DPS gear but in prot spec. Well, that is how messed up my character is. The utility man they called me, probably that's why I can't get a long term spot. =/
But this signature above can change...it updates every week, so probably the next time you see this, it changes. =)
p/s: Yes, my character name is Cleavage. Don't ask me how it came about and why. =__=
Inner Champion
Haha...I went there expecting something from God. And I got it. Thank You God.
My Final Year Project (FYP) supervisor wants to check the our proposal tomorrow and only half of them was done before I had for Inner Champion at Hawthorn Town Hall, which is like an hour journey from my place.
For most people I know, if they were in my shoes, they would have skipped Inner Champion and rush for their proposal. But I insisted on going ahead, leaving all my troubles behind, because I am going with an expecting heart, expecting God to refill me, giving me a good word. I am confident with the word and the freshness God impart to me during the session, I will be able to complete the proposal on time. (well, its basically doing days of work in just mere hours) And I was confident I can do it. During the worship session, I declared in the name of Jesus I am able to complete it.
And then came the word. The word I was waiting for. Ps. Chad started with this phrase:
Wow, the first sentence of the session and I was bombarded. It basically speak of the 12 spies which was send to explore the promised land. When they all came back, all of them claimed that the land was indeed flowing with milk and honey. But 10 of them said that it was too hard to inherit the land. Only Joshua and Caleb was positive and they believed in God. Finally those 2 grabbed the promises of God whereas the other 2 missed it.
So if we declare that we "can" in the name of God, we certainly can.
So true enough, the fact I am typing this post now is because...I have completed my project proposal and ready for my supervisor's checking tomorrow.
I can do anything,
I can do all things.
Cause it's You who gave me strength,
Nothing is impossible.
Through You,
Blind eyes are opened.
Strongholds are broken.
I am living by faith,
Nothing is impossible.
Lol, I doubt I can make it for the 8am class tomorrow, which can only be described as "ridiculous" but I will sleep anyways. Hmm, maybe I should declare that I can wake up too! =)
Good night all. Hope you guys had a great day too.

Bitter and disappointed
I will sleep with a bitter and a disappointed heart today.
Knowing that some people gain things that they don't deserve at all.
Knowing that life really hits you hard with the "so near yet so far" principle.
Knowing that sometimes, even with the best enthusiastic attitude, people will not appreciate it even one bit.
Knowing that that happy person could be you right now. Or could it ever be?
Oh God, help me dwell in your presence. Only You will never disappoint.
p/s: Another good representation of this scenario is in a football tournament. The younger team got to start and win the games up until the finals when the manager decided to let the senior team play the finals instead. The younger team earned it but the senior team gets to play the final. Sucks isn't it?

Deeply disturbed
As I was preparing for my Monday's presentation, my heart was deeply disturbed by the information and images I saw regarding the topic I was researching on.
The topic was Bhopal/Union-Carbide Disaster.
Many of you will say "Huh? What disaster?"
Well, it is regarded as the worst industrial disaster ever recorded. On the early mornings of December 3, 1984, in the city of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, 40 Tonnes of methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas along with hydrogen cyanide and chloroform was released into the nearby dense community due to terrible engineering and management failures, instantly killing 3,800 people and much more (around 20,000) within the first month alone.
Until this day, an estimate of 200,000 people were affected from this disaster.
Quote from a this site:
Remembers Aziza Sultan, a survivor: "At about 12.30 am I woke to the sound of my baby coughing badly. In the half light I saw that the room was filled with a white cloud. I heard a lot of people shouting. They were shouting 'run, run'. Then I started coughing with each breath seeming as if I was breathing in fire. My eyes were burning.
Another survivor, Champa Devi Shukla, remembers that "It felt like somebody had filled our bodies up with red chillies, our eyes tears coming out, noses were watering, we had froth in our mouths. The coughing was so bad that people were writhing in pain. Some people just got up and ran in whatever they were wearing or even if they were wearing nothing at all. Somebody was running this way and somebody was running that way, some people were just running in their underclothes. People were only concerned as to how they would save their lives so they just ran.
"Those who fell were not picked up by anybody, they just kept falling, and were trampled on by other people. People climbed and scrambled over each other to save their lives – even cows were running and trying to save their lives and crushing people as they ran." In those apocalyptic moments no one knew what was happening. People simply started dying in the most hideous ways. Some vomited uncontrollably, went into convulsions and fell dead. Others choked to death, drowning in their own body fluids. Many died in the stampedes through narrow gullies where street lamps burned a dim brown through clouds of gas. The force of the human torrent wrenched children's hands from their parents' grasp. Families were whirled apart," reported the Bhopal Medical Appeal in 1994.
"The poison cloud was so dense and searing that people were reduced to near blindness. As they gasped for breath its effects grew ever more suffocating. The gases burned the tissues of their eyes and lungs and attacked their nervous systems. People lost control of their bodies. Urine and feces ran down their legs. Women lost their unborn children as they ran, their wombs spontaneously opening in bloody abortion." According to Rashida Bi, a survivor who lost five gas-exposed family members to cancers, those who escaped with their lives “ are the unlucky ones; the lucky ones are those who died on that night.”
From another SITE, regarding the anatomy of the dead bodies:
"The first of the autopsies revealed that the "human blood had turned purple red", the lungs had become "ash colour" and filled with their own secretions. "The tracheas were so "dry that the mucous flaked off on touch". Sometimes the blood was so thick that if you dipped your finger in it and lifted it, it would come off like a wire."

Let us remember those who fell that night. Pray that disasters like this will not happen again.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Wow...this series is damn good. A must watch for all Terminator movie fans. Seriously.
In this series, it sets after the events happened in Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
Quote from Wikipedia:
"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is an American science fiction television series produced by Warner Bros. Television and C2-Pictures, spinning off from the Terminator series of films. It revolves around the lives of the fictional characters Sarah and John Connor, following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
But currently only until episode 9 for its first season. Season 2 will start on the 23rd of September.
Another treat to all Terminator fans. A teaser of Terminator Salvation a.k.a Terminator 4!!!
And Christian Bale is going to act as John Connor!!!! Wow...can't wait.

I suddenly feel like...
...the lion in one of the childhood story.
There is this lion. He is hungry. He saw a rabbit. So he chased the rabbit, wanting to eat it. Half way, the lion saw a deer. He stopped chasing the rabbit and chased the deer instead. But the deer ran too fast for him and the lion can't chase it. When he stopped chasing the deer, the rabbit got away too. Poor greedy lion have nothing to eat in the end.
I feel like that lion. Lol.
Why this sudden feeling? You may ask.
Well...
You guess it for yourself.
I am still hungry. =(
Well, although I mentioned to God many times about it, I will still surrender to His will.
Above all things,
You are higher.
You are high and lifted up,
Great is the Lord,
High above all.

"Why so serious? Put a smile on that face" - Joker, 2008
Well, time to get busy with Uni work again. Decided to continue with Advanced Dynamics, no other choice. Work are starting to pile up, and yet, I feel free. Uh oh, bad sign. Hehe. Well, who cares, as long as I get to hand in all my work on time, other things don't really matter.
I am out of series to watch. Battlestar Galactica just ended season 4. I am open to suggestions, please advice. Preferably Prison Break/ Heroes/ Battlestar Galactica, those kind. Thriller, action, sci-fi etc. I think I should go watch Dexter.
What Dexter??? This Dexter??
Not this Dexter laaaa....donk
This Dexter...hehe.
Quote from Wikipedia:
"Set and produced in Miami, the series centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a serial killer who works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood spatter analyst."
Wooo...makes me wanna go download from the Halls people now. I should do that one of these days. Kuo Hao was saying this series is niceeee....so I think I will go watch it...wahaha.
Ok then, time to grab a snack, hanging around on the net aimlessly, maybe watch some random crap. And sleep. Tomorrow's class is 1pm. Not too bad. =)
See ya.
