Done.

Meh. I don't like finishing series. Somehow feeling a bit "no mood" after. Just finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Very enjoyable, funny, crazy anime series.

It's :
- Funny
- Crazy
- Entertaining
- A literally inter-galactic warfare
- Very well drawn

It's not:
- As good as Code Geass
- Much of a love story
- Much of a "thinking" anime

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Thanks for keeping me entertained for the last 3 days. Sayonara.

Scary

Fears and worries are normal in life, as we all know, and some will probably know too well. (refer to final year project posts) But recent fears are becoming somewhat real and fatal. Just read the newspaper the death toll of the recent swine flu epidemic rise to 38 with a total of 2253 cases reported throughout the country.

And believe it or not, this amount is even more scary than the situation in Melbourne, dubbed to be the flu capital of the world. The Australian population is similar to Malaysia, although Australia is much bigger on the map. And before I left Australia, they had like 10,000 - 15,000 cases throughout Australia, with 3,000+ in Victoria, the state of Melbourne alone. But the death toll then was only around 19. Look at the ratio. Malaysia has a much high fatality rate of 1.6%, compared to a rough estimation of 0.152% in Australia.

On Sunday, I briefly went to the Air Keroh hospital, as my dad had a case to do and I was waiting for him at the lobby. All I can see is people, patients rather, with masks, coughing away. Seldom in my life, I witness such a scene, which normally only appear in movies (zombie movies, preinfected especially) or games. And guys, this stuff is real. My mum keep telling me that the facilities in this country are not sensitive enough to diagnose every case, meaning the 2253 cases reported are actually an underestimate. Who knows, probably the number of deaths are also an underestimate.

And due to the fact that my parents, both doctors, are working in this kind of environment, really makes me worried. Everyday, without fail, they would come into contact with these patients, especially my mum. She has to perform scans on their lungs to check whether they have pneumonia, a strong symptom of the flu. And I just received news, that Aaron and co., just came back from their weekend Redang trip, are down with illness. Like what would most people say, its only real when it really hits the people around you, or yourself.

This reminds me of a robbery which happened in my home a long time ago. When the robbers came in with their knives, the first thing my mum shouted/screamed, looking behind towards the robbers, is "THIS IS REAL!!!!". Many a times we watch movies, hear news of robberies, but somehow it only feels real with it happen around you.

And this time (probably the only time lol), staying at home and only stay at the computer is the safest way to avoid the flu. Hmm, probably this is why my mum haven't kick my butt yet. Normally she would start chasing me out of my house.

But then again, in times such as these, one can only turn to God, the author and creator of life. With this flu becoming like what would you normally see in the movies, only God is in control. Just imagine, if the virus becomes more agressive, more contagious, more immune to medication (or only reacts to certain medication), it would cause even more panic. Some pharmaceuticals, even if they have the cure, they will take this opportunity to cash in (sadly). Worst case scenario, people will start to kill, steal and destroy (traits of the devil) to obtain the cure, or just for fun (since the world going to end soon). Guys, this is not a scene from the movies, this may happen.

We Christians have a responsibility in this gripping times. The least we could do is the pray, not just for the loved ones and friends around us, but for the world. And we, the citizens of the world, have a responsibility to prevent even more spreading. Personal hygiene (i know some of you guys may be laughing right now, but then again I only stay at home lol) must be of high priority. Simplest is always wash your hands, all the time.

This reminds me of a scenario in Melbourne, of a young couple, in a bus. There were we, my friends and I, sitting beside and opposite of this young couple. And the girl, was coughing away. My friend spoke up, telling her that she should stay at home if she is down with the flu. But the sad thing is, she said she doesn't care. What an irresponsible bitch. Sigh.

*coughs*

Shit.

*gulps down water*

Okay, enough of my thoughts and views.

This is what my fantasy looks like this year. Sadly, no more Ronaldo the point-generating-like-water-machine. And surprisingly, this season Wy also playing. At first I considered of asking him to join also, but then again, I would thought he would be lazy and can't be bothered lol. Then suddenly he ask me to join this league Yong created. Its gonna be fun this time. And Wy, trust me, once you start playing, you would want to watch the matches every week. So lets go watch at mamak! WoO!

Diablo 2!!! Wooooo!!!! Hammerdin!!! Woooo!!! Imba!!!

Group photo!! Courtesy of Wy. But Hammerdin is really damn imba. No wonder its such a famous spec.

Level 25 already dealing 407 damage and almost full resistance. But then again, this character is HIGHLY twinked.

But maybe tonight I can't continue our adventures. I MAY need to go futsal. I really need to exercise and its been such a long time since I last futsal-ed. And plus, I rejected my friend's invitation for a number of times already. Will feel bad if I reject this 1 more time. Daryl and Wy, you guys can go ahead first tonight. I will catch up in single player tomorrow. Hehe. Will put to players 3-4, I promise. Probably can't take them all on players 8 anyways. Anyways, will let you guys know whether I can make it or not.

lol this is like casual raiding. But with much less commitments. Aih, the word commitment, been using so much during my raiding days, to replace the word raid (most people will not understand). Sophie understands this well enough already.

"Hey, guys, I am sorry but I gotta go back by 9.30pm."
"Why ah? What you having?"
"I am having a raid some commitments tonight."
"Oh I see, okay then"

Save the time to explain also. Haha.

Okay then, I am off to lunch.

*edit: Just knocked my ankle on the drawer downstairs. Slightly injured. Can't go futsal. Sad. And my dad told me that the actual H1N1 cases in Malaysia is around current estimation multiplied by...20 times.

Back to the groove

Its been a long time since I spam some music on my computer. To be exact, since I left for Australia. Somehow just lost the interest in listening and hence, very outdated in terms of music. Just downloaded the latest Winamp with the Cpro skin. Very very happy with it I would say. Maybe I become jakun or what I don't know but I feel so high tech now. With every song I click to play, the browser which is integrated into the player, will automatically search for the lyrics on the net and display it there, can sing along lol. With my external monitor, it looks even more K (karoake) like. It looks like this.

The right side is my external display. Playlist on the far right, with the lyrics displayed (on the left of the playlist) and updated at every song. Left side is my main screen and with the wallpaper I just got last night. Her name is Laura Ramsey.

Very very cute and sexy I would say. lol.

Weee, sing K at room.

Its been 1 week

Its been 1 week since I reached Malaysia. And theoretically, I am supposed to be quarantined till at least last night. BUT WHO CARES???!! I prison broke at the 3rd day. Hohoho.

Things I've done the first week:

I did:
- Went out.
- Ate Chicken Ball Rice (twice), Char Kuey Teow, Home cooked Food, Malaysian Indomee, Nyonya "Zhang" from my grandma, Maggi Basah.
- Finish my Fallout 3.
- Download all the DLC packs.
- Watch movies, G.I. Joe and Taking of Pelham 123.
- Watch Football, Arsenal vs Athletico Madrid.

And surprisingly, I am rather used to the weather here. People would normally say, "Wah, you go back Malaysia, sure sweat like crazy everyday have to on aircon". But so far I only switch the aircon on like twice. Ah, home sweet home.

Been checking out Job vacancies on the newspaper. Stumbled upon a company that looks rather impressive to me. Will consider it. But somehow, most of the companies (if not all), its deadline is 22nd August. Wonder why.

Have been researching for what class to play in Diablo II.

Yes, Diablo T-W-O. Daryl, Wy and I (maybe Liang) want to try to relive our memories in LAN. Using Hamachi, Daryl and I tested the connection. Quite smooth, with occasional spikes. Most probably either going to play the Hammerdin or the Whirlwind Shredsin strat.

Good websites of research: (for Wy, most probably he lazy go research)
Diablo II Strategy Compendium
Wikia - Diablo II: LoD
The Arreat Summit - All time favorite site to check for items

It looks like this on my desktop. (Windowed mode thanks to Daryl)

Yup, my desktop is that empty. Only 1 Folder there only, going to move it soon and leave the desktop blank. Stunning Simplicity remember? lol.

Anyways, a busy weekend ahead for me. Going to my aunt's place (dad's side) after this for some family gathering BBQ. Tomorrow is my Grandma's birthday. You know, those big big birthday parties in a chinese restaurant that always seem to get bigger as they age. Glorious food!!!

See ya.
